The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of duties working collaboratively with the Doctor and office manager/supervisor.  They may be involved in both the clinical and clerical duties of the practice in order to deliver optimal patient care services within the scope of the medical assistant's professional expertise. Medical Assistant duties and skills require a strong emphasis on patient care and service excellence.  The position entails a number of duties including but not limited to:

-phone triage

-taking vitals and documenting in chart appropriately

-assisting with patients in exam rooms

-Documents results and activities as appropriate

-Scheduling of all in office and outpatient procedures

-Medication Prior Authorizations

-Various other office duties as needed1 to 2 years physician office experience preferred

-Ability to work in high volume physician office and handle multiple tasks

-Knowledge of medical terminology

-Computer experience required with an EMR, and Bismatics preferred

-CPR certification required

-Must have good communication skills in dealing with patients, physicians and other personnel

-Good organizational skills-Good problem solving, verbal and written communication skills

-Ability to work as a team member

-Strong computer skills with Microsoft

-Basic knowledge of insurance, managed care, and the referral process

 

Minimum Position Qualification:

-High School Diploma or equivalent required

-Medical Assistant diploma or certification from a recognized program or equivalent experience

-Minimum of two years experience as a Medical Assistant in physician office or clinic preferred.

 

 

Receptionist – Administrative Assistant

The Receptionist is responsible for performing a variety of duties working collaboratively with the Doctor and office manager/supervisor.  We are seeking a profession, social, and friendly team player who is able to multi-task in a busy environment maintaining focus on customer service at all times.  Also, must be well organized and motivated to learn. The position entails a number of duties including but not limited to:

 

1. Answering multi-line phones
2. Greeting and checking in patients
3. Scheduling patients
4. Collecting payments
5. Data entry 
6. Scanning 
7. Faxing
8. Processing and completing forms and other requests
9. Getting authorizations
10. Verifying insurances(i.e. Blue Cross, Medicare, etc)
11. Light housekeeping12.Medical Billing experience

Requirements
